Jonas

Writer

I.e., I’m a person who likes to write fiction as well as articles (usually about role playing or storytelling), and someone who describes himself as an aspiring professional author of novels.

Can’t think of any else, honestly. I don’t listen to a lot of podcasts.

Twitch:

None, I’m sure there are twitch channels that do writing – I think you have some where you can watch some famous writer work on his novel, or you can watch Patrick Rothfuss play Witcher 3 and complain about how unrealistic it is, but I don’t follow any channels on writing so I couldn’t really say.

Something that comes close is things like famous fantasy novelist and writing teacher Brandon Sanderson’s taped lectures on YouTube.

Gamer

I enjoy PC and console gaming and generally follow the developments in the field – but usually from the perspective of someone who tends to be disappointed by the low level of effort put into storytelling in games. I really enjoy critiques and analysis of games, especially the more critical ones.

Not much else. These days I rely a lot on friends to tell me what’s going on in gaming, plus Steam to tell me what’s out. 😛

Podcasts:

None. I don’t listen to gaming podcasts at all.

Twitch:

I don’t watch Twitch often, but I do watch a lot of YouTube. I used to follow Korean StarCraft II very closely some years ago, but not anymore.

YouTube, the ones that come to mind are:

– Noah Antweiler a.k.a. TheSpoonyOne

– Mark Brown

– AngryJoe

– Ross’ Game Dungeon

– PreachGaming

– GDC

– Game Sack

Role player

Tabletop roleplaying games is one of my absolute favorite pastimes. I’m extremely immersed in the culture of tabletop roleplaying, rpg design, and so forth.

– I also used to read ~100 different personal RPG blogs back in the day, plus all the major forums, but I’m not as active these days, I’ve kind of seen it all at this point.

Don’t listen a lot, but I found one that I like:

NHL fan

I’m a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins and though I don’t follow them as seriously as I once did, I still stay updated about the scores and watch the highlights from their latest game in the mornings.

Podcasts:

None. I don’t listen to any podcasts about hockey.

Twitch:

None. I don’t watch any hockey related content on Twitch. I sometimes go to YouTube to watch clips from classic games, though.

Video game music enthusiast

I listen to a lot of video game music and video game remixes. I have a (digital) collection of about 600 soundtracks (I only keep the ones I enjoy) and listen to video game music almost every day.

Websites:

– ocremix.org (hands down the best community for video game remixes)

– gamemp3s.net (hands down the best site for “official” torrent releases of video game soundtracks)

Podcasts:

– None. Not really a podcast dude – I listen to music most of the time lol.

Twitch/YouTube:

– None.

As for Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook… sorry bro, I honestly never use any of them.
